This training course provides staff with knowledge about Child Exploitation Online Protection (CEOP) and practical skills to address emerging online threats, particularly those linked to artificial intelligence (AI) and digital technologies.
Participants will understand the meaning and purpose of CEOP and how professionals can support its mission and define and distinguish between AI-enabled grooming, non-human grooming, and AI-enabled abuse.
Participants will also evaluate how children and young people use the internet and social media from both healthy and vulnerable perspectives and gain a clear understanding of artificial intelligence and chatbots, including their potential misuse.
Participants will also consider risks associated with AI, AI-enabled grooming/non-human grooming, gaming, culture, sharing, and exploitation, confirm how to respond to online safeguarding concerns which protect children and young people in an increasingly AI-driven digital world.
